Preventative Maintenance.
Aside from hanging out around the house for practically the whole day at home, I decided to tackle the cooling system (expansion tank, water pump, and upper & lower radiator hoses; the thermostat was replaced by the PO right before it was purchased) overhaul job! Unfortunately, due to attempting it a bit later in the day, it got dark & cold later on so I was only able to get everything out. Fortunately, the hard parts of this whole DIY are finished, and the re-installation should be a breeze tomorrow morning.
Thought of the day? Nothing like preventative maintenance right after coming back from a week-long vacation, no? I’m glad to be finally getting this DIY done, so I can be worry free about overheating for a good while. Special thanks to E46Fanatics and Bimmerforums!
D700 + 17-35/2.8-4. Simple image snapped inside of my garage in the middle of the overhaul. The DIY wooden ramps worked superbly and allowed me to get the car up in the air with ease! Highly recommended.
